I grew up right by a bakeshop. Every morning, I’d wake up to the smell of freshly baked goods... I knew immediately that I wanted to bake.
My mom saw my interest and taught me the basics. On weekends, we’d make banana cake or pineapple upside down cake for the grateful family, and soon, I started testing recipes on my own.
Fast forward 20 years, when I have a family of my own to bake for. I decided to try a cheesecake recipe from a well-known magazine, and, well, it’s true what they say: cheesecakes really are dense and (overly) rich. I just wasn’t pleased with the outcome.
After lots of testing and tweaks to the recipe, I was able to create my own version that I can proudly say is uniquely different – light, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness! My cakes have been a hit at hundreds of birthday, anniversary, and holiday celebrations.
